Situated on the edge of Alnwick Conservation Area, Hedgehope Cottage is in a quiet location yet just a 5 – 10 min walk to town centre restaurants, pubs and attractions. Alnwick is only 10 minutes drive from the coast at Alnmouth, and is conveniently positioned for visiting all of north Northumberland’s many attractions.

Places to visit.

Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Garden are just a 15 min walk away and the nearest beach on Northumberland’s outstanding coastline is just a 10 min drive. The Northumberland Coast is a designated Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and has some of the finest scenery in Europe and miles of beaches.  Coastal paths and cycle routes take you to pretty coastal fishing villages such as Craster, Newton-by the Sea, Embleton, Amble, Beadnell and Bamburgh for great days out (and some fine dining!).

Easy driving roads give you access to Northumberland’s stunning countryside, and attractions such as Cragside, Wallington and Kirkharle (and just a little further afield you’ll be exploring the rolling landscape and pretty towns of the Scottish Borders).

With easy access to the A1, and being just a 10 min drive to Alnmouth Station, Hedgehope is also the perfect spot for days out to the City Centres of Newcastle and Durham to the south and Edinburgh to the north.
